Trigger Point Pilates

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

It has been the hottest week of the year so far .. phew ... and by Thursday and with my very English tolerance of hot, sticky weather I was beginning to flag .... wilting and with a melting glow it was starting to become an effort to move very far.

I'm so glad I chose to introduce my class to 'Trigger Point Pilates' it was a great class and I think everyone felt a bit more invigorated afterwards. TPP is Pilates but we use the Foam Roller and soft spikey balls to release tension throughout the body. It's a bit like having a deep tissue massage. Lydia Campbell who is the creator of TPP says 'A Trigger Point Pilates® class combines Pilates’ core moves with trigger point release and clinical Myofascial principles to help alleviate chronic pain conditions using equipment. The class is designed to release tight muscles enhance functional daily movement and restructure the body. I will be running more TPP classes as 'Pop Up' classes on a Saturday morning. My next class will be on Saturday 18th September so if you are interested in coming along you can book here.
